The premises of this beautiful restaurant were chosen due to its
central and historic location as it is situated in the heart of
the Old Town of Marbella, a few steps away from the delightful
Orange Square, the Town Hall and a five minute walk to the beach.
The old town of Marbella is very picturesque with its cobbled
streets, flowered terraces and churches. There is also a large
variety of shops which ensures a transit of people including
residents and tourists. There is quick access in all directions
which makes it a prime location to attract customers after
working hours and for leisure.
Opened/established in July 23rd 0f 2008 the premises underwent
an extensive reformation for one year. The property was in a
state of severe deterioration.
The current owners have respected the originality and history of
the building and its structure; original wooden shutters that
open onto the cobbled street below and exposing the natural red
brick on the staircase and brick alcoves lit by candles. As
tradition, flowers have been placed on the terraces. The
building is approximately 100 years old. Inside, the interiors
are a mix of modern white sofas and chandeliers.
The restaurant area has a capacity for 30-40 tables. As the
tables are small in size it gives the freedom to combine and
move them depending on the bookings. Target clientele is a
medium to medium high.
The concept of the restaurant was to create a stylish but
relaxing place for cocktails, creative “tapas” or dinner, with
occasional live jazz nights, special tasting menus and art and
photography exhibitions. The total cost of the reformation (including
new company etc.) was approximately 197,000 Euro.
This restaurant is the only establishment offering a restaurant,
lounge bar, and art and music under one roof – an innovative
concept. (Note: possibility of including the terrace). The
architecture and decoration of of this restaurant is unique
compared to other restaurants giving it a competitive edge. The
establishment already has a recognized name.
The restaurant is 100 m2. 70% to the public. Maximum capacity
60-70 people, 35-45 seated in the restaurant and 22 in the
lounge. Distributed in one long hall that communicates with the
bar, kitchen, staircase to deposits and bathrooms. Two bathrooms:
one for men and one for women.
The Terrace is 100 m2. It has two deposits/storage/office rooms
+ terrace space. This area is unexploited and has enormous
potential. It is estimated a maximum of 30-50 persons can be
seated. Open terrace is estimated to be in use from spring to
autumn. The terrace can however be closed off with windows and
heaters during the winter months which would provide an even
greater income.
